No need to take of the back cover and whack the water pump. People said it's not clogged, it just needs primed. They were right!

So glad I found this! The first time I tried it did not work. I did it a second time and, sweet fancy Moses, it worked!

A $25 water pump on Amazon was what fixed my "add water" message. Slightly time consuming, but not difficult at all for anyone who can twist a screwdriver.

This method never worked for me. I was using your old method (giving it a good shake), which did work, but I had to do it increasingly frequently. This past weekend, I finally took some time to fully disassemble the unit, clear the lines and internal reservoir, and it now works perfectly. Like night and day difference. There was lots of build up in the lines, and I suspect shaking it just loosened them enough for a little flow. If you have to do this on a regular basis, I would definitely recommend taking it apart to deep clean it. I definitely feel a little gross afterwards, but it wasn't hard to do with just a screwdriver and some pipe cleaners.

This didn’t work for me. I had to remove the back then the top & there’s a white internal reservoir that has wires running in the top. Remove 2 of the screws on the top SIDE of the ice machine so that you can push the side of the machine out & then Remove the top of the reservoir if you are getting the add water message the reservoir will likely be empty & there’s a couple of plungers inside & if the reservoir is low the plungers will be all the way down on the stem they are mounted on & with them being down it’s telling the ice maker that there is no water. So manually fill the Reservoir & then pull out the ice bin & push it back in so that it says making ice leave the top of the reservoir off tuned upside down so that the plungers are not down. Leave the top like this for about 5 or 10 minutes making sure it continues to say making ice. Then fill the reservoir again & put the top of the reservoir back on & it should continue. When my bin gets full & it stops making ice I usually have to go thru this again so I don’t snap the lid to the reservoir back down. You can replace the back on the ice machine by putting the screws back in on the left back side & one on the bottom of the right side but I don’t put anymore than that & I just lay the top of the machine back on it but I don’t snap it in place in case I need to get back into the reservoir. Hope this works for you but I’d say there’s a 99% chance it will. It’s not a cleaning issue because we clean ours regularly.

Sorry to hear that didn't work. You could always try my old fix method and see if that works. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9Slo5qSnsulfHU.html
