I have GPA effecting my sinuses. Both sides are half blocked with scar tissue. My ENT doctor has recommended cutting out this tissue and splinting nostrils while they heal. Anyone have experience with this? How did it work and did it last. Thank you very much for your advice.

There are at least two (perhaps) more Facebook sites for GPA support. While they are not doctors and do not claim to be, you can ask questions of people who have our disease. You may be able to get some information there.

@@joantimberlake889 thank you for your response. I didn't go through with the surgery. Hope to stabilize with methotrexate. Can breathe through my nose at least part of the day and that's something.

Definitely get a second or third opinion and recommend going to a teaching hospital if able...they are associated typically with a university hospital. Usually have have the most updated techniques and technology. Maybe your doc is great but just my thing.. I got 3 opinions after I was told I needed a surgery.. so glad I listened to doc #3!!!!
