Sweet rigs, I run both for blacktails up here in Alaska. That SWFA is underrated, not many people know about those scopes, I use the Ultralight & fixed 6. They are so ruggedly reliable

I am really glad that you are enjoying 270WIN. It really is a superb platform and is my favorite as well. It's a round that also holds a lot of backstory and meaning to me. It was the summer of 82 and I was already a longtime fan of the venerable Mr Jack O'Connor and I wanted a 270WIN so bad I could taste it. So I took on a roofing job that summer and with the proceeds, I bought my first beautiful Winchester Model 70. I think I went into the local sporting good place 100 times and the guy behind the counter took a liking and saved me his most beautifully stocked rifle. Layaway was popular so I got it that way and he threw in two boxes of rounds. Well I gobbled those up, got the RCBS die set, and had some loads by fall. It shot so well I guess I never really wanted anything else for the hunt and now I have four. I really like the Creedmoor too but I still hunt with 270WIN and I think you got good taste in rounds😁. Enjoyed the comparison!

Good idea. I like your style. I have taken maybe 3 deer beyond 100yds. Im going to put my 1moa trij rmr on my remington 700 compact 7mm-08 and see how accurate I can be out to 150. It won’t be as light as your setup but I think imagine still extremely handy when hunting in the thick stuff in FL. Thank you for sharing with us. I appreciate your thoughtful content.

Nice one mate I love the 270win but I went one step above and got mine rebarreled and chambered in 270ai and it's so sweet to shoot and hits hard

I bought a Tikka T3x in 308. Not a fan of the factory recoil pad. I did some reading online and bought the limbsavor factory fit replacement and it is much better and CHEAP. I think it was around 45.00 maybe? Love the 270. I have 4. Try 130 Barnes TTSX over SUPERFORMANCE powder. Scorching velocity and very accurate. All 4 of mine print 1/2" or better 3 shot groups with new (yes new not even fireformed) Winchester brass, Fed 210M primers and a LOT of the powder. My 270 Win load mentioned above is going the same speed or faster than a 270 WSM pushing the same bullet weight. I was shocked
