Nice! I had a card that dropped 10 degrees, but normally only a couple degrees. Just depends on the card.

Man 10 degrees that's huge, definitely worth it 👌 I kind of figured it wouldn't make a huge difference on this one but a few degrees is a few degrees

@@YourPersonalGeek Yes, first ever. It was a HUGE accomplishment when clicking that PSU switch then the power and it cut on OMG

you should see what kind of temps that card gets with no thermal paste, i’m really surprised that old gunk did that well.

So am I! Especially with how hardened up it got, with no paste I dont think it'd run more then a minute or two

@@YourPersonalGeek i had an old AMD FX chip that when i went to replace the thermal paste, their just wasn’t any. i have some faith in the no thermal paste.

It definitely depends on the card. I repasted my used GTX 980 and didn’t see a difference. It was still running a bit hot, so I bought some new be quiet fans and that made all the difference. Sometimes it’s poor airflow (definitely should have more than 2 fans).

Absolutely, the TDP of 650ti 110W amd 980ti is 250W so you're right fans are much more important for cooling when it comes to that card
