Neck and upper back pain on the bike can really make it tough to enjoy your time on the bike and push out the watts later into an epic day
Sometimes the issue can be fit - we discuss this.
Glasses - yes - the type of glasses you wear can also impact this!
However, perhaps most often the issue is a combination of weakness of the upper back and neck combined with a lack of mobility to accommodate the heads up position on the bike - especially in a more aero position.
In this video, we talk about what exercises you can do to PREVENT this and what issues with you fit might be causing it.
07:02 - For rehab
I believe you are meant to be healthy ... you just have to know how to meet the requirements: nutrition, movement, recovery and an optimal Brain-Body Connection.
Whether we are talking performance on or off the bike, these are what your body needs to get the job done and this channel is my attempt to my the cycling community that I love dearly to perform to their best, stay healthy on and off the bike and to have lots of fun along the way.
If you live or work in Toronto, or beyond, and are open to getting some help and following me along my journey to bike (fast) until my final days, I hope you will subscribe and join me.
