Awesome! I panicked when I realized that I'd left the key inside as shut the door for the school run this morning! Thank God I keep a spare key in my car and with the help of a stone o was able to dislodge the key on the inside and get myself back in. What a relief!!

Thanks for this guidance. Big panic last night when exactly this happened to my son’s lock. We watched this before my daughter had the inspired idea of using a litter grabber stick (any stick would have done I think). My son inserted it right through the letterbox then turned it to just tap the inside key which became vertical: et voilà! My daughter-in-law correctly commented that it could have tapped it more out of line but it didn’t.👍😀

So if you leave the inside key inserted and rotated by 60 degrees; does that prevent lock bumping?

Lesson learned there then......Never leave your inside key up right. Easier for burglars to force the key out from the outside.
