It feels weird that we're already well-past the halfway point of the NHL season. It's gone by so fast, considering the unique circumstances of everything going on. With every division only playing against each other, the games become far more important than usual. With the East and Central divisions, there are many stories to tell. Some the same ones we've heard before, others brand new adventures.
For these sixteen teams, what has the season entailed? This video will hopefully help you to figure that out. Unless you're Buffalo, then you just fall apart every time you try.

Lankinen being excellent shouldn't have been a surprise considering that he pretty much was the most vital piece in ensuring Finland won the 2019 World Championship with less than a handful of NHL talent.

The Blackhawks are kinda like Loyola to me as of late. Nobody really expected them to be any good, but then out of nowhere they turn out amazing games that end in championship contention. Now the only thing the Hawks need is their own Sister Jean.

I'm a new hockey fan and I am a fan of two teams: Blackhawks and Golden Knights. The Blackhawks are slowly looking like the team that everyone warned me about, while the Golden Knights are as dominant as ever but are on a little skid. All I ask is that they don't meet in the playoffs again 😭 And thank you Tree for all the videos you've made on hockey over the years that got me interested in the sport and helped me learn about it in my first season!

The Stars also had another week of games postponed due to the big winter storm in Texas, forcing the schedule to be one where there is no quality rest, but true it doesn’t excuse the bad offense.

As a Pens fan, we were absolute dynamite in March and Dumo coming back in the D inspired our PK and PP to get their shit together. 12-2-1 in March is nothing to scoff at. Yet again, injuries have hampered overall performance but once Geno and Bleuger return I see chemistry returning to Lines 2 and 3. Jarry and DeSmith have become a legit tandem and everything is clicking. Plus, we've had two 5+ win streaks this season alone. If we can get completely healthy by playoff time we're a dangerous opponent. Either way, LET'S GO PENS!

Regarding the Dallas Stars, you should have also mentioned the Winter Storm that caused nearly a total failure of the state’s power grid. They had to PPD and rescheduled 4 home games that week and the extremely tight schedule that’s it’s forced them to play. At one point, they were 8 games behind schedule and are still making up games for it.

I don't know much about hockey but Seattle's new team is gonna start playing this fall so I might as well should pay more attention to hockey.

That was spot on for the Wings. The only problem I foresee on the coach front is that they'd just be bringing in a head coach to develop players and then get fired when they're ready to contend. Not exactly much for such a coach to look forward to.

tbh what's happening in Chicago is both a blessing and a curse. Like it's nice to see the Hawks doing waaay better than any of us fans expected after that brutal start...but...our biggest concern is consistency and hurting our draft chances, but then again that should be expected looking how young the team is +/- a few vets. I just hope one of our Rookies gets the Calder this season (doubt it though)

Lank will get the Calder if we get to the playoffs and nashville is inconsistent and we got experience playing the good teams so we can finish strong now we are only one game out of a playoff spot and still over a month to go Blackhawks playoff hockey is not what I expected this season but ill gladly take it

It's true. As a Rangers fan, it's been like watching a soap that you can't peel your eyes away from this season. We're still on the way up (hopefully)

As a hawks fan, I know they won't win a cup with this core again but ill be happy with some winning seasons before they retire. it's fine just make the team fun to watch. they might make some deep runs in the next 3 years IF Dach and a few others have a huge spike in development and goaltending holds.
