@@dakel20 Same, but ergonomically speaking, heavy mouses are slightly worse for you, but the weight is less important than the shape of the mouse, so if the mouse is heavier but more comfortable to hold, than that's most likely better than a light mouse with worse shape. If it weren't because I lack the time (and the know-how, and the money), I'd love to try and mod a mouse and keyboard, in such a way that it'd fit as well as possible to my hands, but for now, I can live with a basic MK and a cheapo gaming mouse I bought like 8 years ago (which has definitely become smaller than ideal for my hand size) and still works

When electronics are involved, you should probably use wood internal components or add some insolation to prevent short circuits. But this is really cool, love to see more modern tech remade like this. For ergonomics sake you could make it mainly with wood and add thin brass plates for aesthetics.

I have noticed the high number of trained, professional craftspeople who seem to enjoy Uri's work. (I'm a saddler myself.) I don't know why that should be. Perhaps the simple joy of making something for it's own sake resonates for folk who have made things by hand all their lives, dedicated their lives to a craft, and have perhaps (just occasionally) dreaded Monday morning coming around yet again.

I'm a dental technician and I love Uris work. His skills are so wide streched and great, not only one thing mediocre like most people. He is a master of many crafts.
@sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc79242 жыл бұрын
@@Seelenschmiede What I like is the fact that he makes his own tooling and machines and thats a true sign of an engineer and craftsman. That is the only way that a skill is truly developed from the very basics ending up as Master. As it always should be and sadly now as true apprenticeships of 5 plus years are dying out it is truly great to see. I can remember standing at a Vice for 6 months just to learn to file as an engineer and making blocks so perfect that you could not fit the finest piece of paper in between the joins. They would lock together by the perfectness of the filing. Of course in seconds that can be done by machines with 9 axis tooling but to do it by hand creates a special person, someone who is patient, capable and excels they are not afraid of hard work and are able to manage time and we dont do this is longer in this throwaway world we live in.

@@urituchmanpigeon The engraving is beautiful. For something to fit my hand, I do find the overall design to be too angular. A wooden mouse would have the advantage of more electrical isolation for the delicate circuits inside. Brass scrollwork inlay into a contrasting, dark walnut would be pretty awesome.
