Uruk Hai Warriors, Painting Tutorial

"Build me an army worthy of Mordor!"
Today we start our Two Towers series of painting tutorials kicking off with the mighty Uruk Hai, warriors of The White Wizard Saruman who are released upon the Kingdom of Rohan to try and bring it to its knees.
This is an easy to follow, effective paint scheme which accentuates the ferocity of the Uruks whilst also maintaining the beaten, menacing look uniform across the army and can be replicated across all sorts of models from your Isengard force.

These moulds are so detailed.... the ones i baught years ago you can hardly make out some of the face, armour, body shape

Please forgive my inexperience. Are all of these colors Citadel paints? I paint mostly WWII 1/35th scale and am now breaking in to fantasy. I really appreciate your work and your videos. Thanks

Thanks for the very useful tutorial. As a pedantic textual purist I feel it necessary to point out that the books give no hint of a reddish tone to orc or uruk skin. Black would be more appropriate.

These are uruk hai based on the films, so the red makes sense.

Hey mate how do you work out your mixing ratio?? I’ve never mixed paints before so I’m really need to this kind of painting Your videos are absolutely fantastic by the way :)

Thank you so much!! Honestly it's really mainly been just trial and error, I have an idea of what I want to make ion my head and just mix until I get more or less there. Are there any hues youre struggling with maybe I can help?

@@PlanetMithril not really.. just the ratio cause I see a lot of people mixing paints and I just wasn’t to sure on how to do it, I’ve now had a little play around and tried some stuff and pretty happy with the results, note to self always right stuff down 😂 so you don’t forgot your mixes lol Thank you tho for your help really appreciate it
