A DC-10 is also considered a Jumbo jet. By no means is it "tiny".

As much as I live and breath the imperial system, saying 328 feet rather than 100 meters seems weird. I mean, you write "torches" instead of "flashlights," so you're clearly inconsistent with what dialect of English you use.

max fuel load for a KC-10 is 360,000 pounds to the -135's 200,000

the KC-10 already has a drogue system next to the boom gimbal. it can also add a drogue wing pod on each wing....the KC-10 is far superior to the -135 and -46 and yet they have retired almost half of the 59 KC-10 fleet....really sad to see for this former -10 engine troop

Yes, the DC-10 is being retired almost everywhere else in the airline industry as well... The airlines now consider it a gas guzzler, as a 3 engine jet.

Agreed. The KC-10 can do the work of 3 KC-135's or 2 KC-46's. And all the pallet locks work and the boom operator visual system works great, just have to keep the window clean. Former -10 FE out of GXU. Never had an engine failure! Loved those CF6-50's!!!
