The future of the "United" States either ends in a mutually agreeable separation or a violent divorce. How can reconciliation be possible when we have diametrically different visions for the future of the country? Freedom of the individual is not what the left values nor ever has. In leftist ideology, individual freedom is sacrificed on the altar of the state for the "greater good." In classic--not contemporary--liberalism, state power MUST be strictly limited as individual rights are guaranteed and recognized once consent to govern is given. Truly Tory vs. Patriot times all-over again. Gun control and taxes were what started the American War for Independence. The two biggest issues the left is running are gun control and raising taxes. True Americans believe in the right to self-defense, the right to keep and bear arms, and the right to keep their own property rather than having it forcibly taken and given to those who did not earn it. Why is it that the left's entire platform is based on decreasing citizens' rights by attempting to pass laws that violate the Constitution and restrict individual freedom while at the same time increasing non-citizens privileges and entitlements by ignoring established law that specifically does not allow it ?

Plain and simple, we the people are mad as hell! And the storm is coming!

I am originally from Cuba, and I know what it is like to live under a dictatorship. I am blessed to be a citizen of the United States and to have my 1st and 2nd amendment rights. Nobody is taking that away from me because I know what it is like to live without it.

I believe there needs to be a reset of the entire system anyway. If its a civil war then that's probably what it will take to put the US at a badly needed precipice of change. Our system is rotting from the inside out.

Your so right. My grandparents fled the fruits of the Stalin regime. As bad as Venezuela is today, it does not come close to the full fruitation of Stalin. When my grandparent's earned US citizenship they literally kissed the ground of US soil. They were so grateful. Over 20 million perished under the Stalin regime. I am a "moderate" Republican and feel as rare as a moderate dem. Moderate's of both parties seem to be reviled because they use the word compromise. As a new country we moved from The Articles of Confederation to a Constitution BECAUSE Patriots were able to compromise. Amendments were designed to "repair", untenable compromise, s amount other issues. I believe in civility, strongly, and would remind all that often hard core conservative and liberal Senators were still close friends when off the " floor". Painting any group as "all" one way is simply another form of "incivility".

I rarely remember my dreams but had a terrifying one last night (this morning). When I got to work I was told by a coworker she had a bad dream last night (without knowing about mine). Then later in the morning a child shared that she had a nightmare. It’s probably just a coincidence but all of us described them as extremely scary., without discussing any specific details of the dreams. It’s as if each of us already knew. The child simply said “there was a lot of blood.” I hope it’s just some sort of strange non-sensical alignment among people who crossed paths this morning. We don’t need anymore drama in this world.

Darlin..you shouldn't worry so much..I've been saying the same thing all my life..as my Grandpa told me...I'll give you my "Gun Speech" and maybe you won't worry so much...There are 2.5-2.7 Million members of the ENTIRE US Military...this is counting the overwhelming majority that are "Support" cooks, mechanics, staff, etc...In 2017 there were 32MILLION hunting licenses bought and paid for...each one of those has 4-5 rifles and handguns...each one has 2-3 children whom they have taught "Gun Culture"...1/2 of their wives have also learned how to shoot and "practise" regularly...MOST of these folks are "Mulitary Trained".....Most of these children and wives own 2-5 guns...These folks go out every year for months practicing in the woods and all of them are SNIPERS!!!!!!.....Double the number for "unlicensed" gun owners and you have 365 Billion folks that shoot..plus the unlicensed..and pretty close to 921 Billion guns plus the unlicensed...That's why they want Gun Control...That's why NO COUNTRY has the balls to come here for a fight!...and that's why the US Government is terrified of it's Citizens..(AS IT SHOULD BE!)...
