Finishing through contact isn't about pure strength and athleticism, but strategy and technique too!

Lebron during the Miami years is the first person I really noticed slowed his movements near the basket. He plays cerebral which allows him slows down the game, simply finds the gaps, and calmly make adjustments. He’s that way on defense to. He’s the first person I noticed the goes up for a block with both hands ready to counter their first adjustment. “Precision beats power, Timing beats speed” - Conor McGregor

yea this works but every time i finish through contact there center comes from behind and block it
@danieltatum42626 ай бұрын
It works better in transition once the defence is scrambled, in a half court setting then you will deffo get blocked

Then you have your big wide open if the center is committing

Exactly….not everyone is fast or could jump high. Just have a “higher” IQ

The video examples shown weren’t good examples.

Isn't this just basic basketball? I'm being genuine when I ask that question.

Mastering the basics is all that matters the rest comes as a result

Yeah it is, but some people don’t understand the concept like a friend I know. He always speeds to the rim and doesn’t slow down, making it hard for him to make layups with control

A lot of guards don’t know how to switch their speeds. They’re lightning quick but the lack of change of pace is what pulls them down from their potential.

Looks like he is teaching kids here. Would make sense he is breaking down something that seems basic to us older than teenagers.

Basic...idk. A lot of hoopers avoid contact

Yeah probably couldn’t think of the examples on the spot but noticed this example a bunch of times...James Harden, Lebron, Kyrie, KD, D book, are a few I can think of.
