His enthusiasm is priceless. Goes to show the masses to be mindful not to complain about the platter your ‘meal’ is being served on. The overarching caveat is make sure regional joint complexes have sufficient stability and are actively mobilized before ‘coiling’ is implemented.

In terms of NS engagement this makes complete sense despite the crazy presentation. Again it touches on the old idea of using the transverse and frontal plane rather than just sagital but with an added notion of NS engagement. I can see this optimising performance. The training is exaggerated but would transfer well to combat I imagine! Thank you Phil. Awesome

Also the facial plains actually go transversly through the body so it has to do with activating those more too, but yeah, presentation is really something.

Could sell ice to the Eskimos. Seriously though, I wonder what position the foot has on the balance when on one leg. If you have your outer foot straight, as opposed to the inner line of the foot, you change where the centre point is, so you don’t need as much side to side head movement. But many people believe your foot is straight when the inner line (heel to big toe) is straight. Moreover, many people walk and run with the toes pointed outwards, which accentuates the centre point further out. I wonder if Weck considers foot alignment.

I'm a swimmer and curious as to how these principles might translate to swimming? On the one hand the sort of contrary motion is considered good form. On the other, moving your torso so much would really ruin your hydrodynamics. I'd be very interested if you have any input. Thanks for the excellent videos 👍🏼

@@MyCommentsRMaturelol the raptor run didn’t work for you? Lol My thinking is that you’re just training those muscles to fire when you punch so that even if you punch normally those muscles will fire up more than they would have otherwise. I dunno though I too would like more clarification. I’m definitely interested, but not enough to buy his program yet.
@MyCommentsRMaturelol
@MyCommentsRMaturelol Жыл бұрын
@@murrayrothtard6072 Yeah, I'm absolutely not gonna pay money for it, but I do wanna see if there's any good research on the short side long side stuff. Try the raptor run! It's really fun! It feels better to me if I bend to the opposite side that he does. I know my coach has me flex my lat when bracing during punching, so there could be something to it. Shotput uses a similar motion. I wonder if it does maximize force production. But at the end of the day, we don't throw full force because it won't land. And punching force and throwing force are different. I had to stop throwing my fist like a baseball lol
