Use VERSE To Teleport To The Closest Player With Remote

We're teleporting to the closest player or chest in this one using verse in UEFN. This is such a highly requested tutorial that I thought I'd do it and add in some extra stuff for all of you to learn a bit more along the way!

Hi, another great video, i was just wondering how can we attach a vfx spawner to spawn that certain vfx whenever we click the remote and will we make it in the customplayer file or the first ability one only. Thanks.

quick question if i have multiple spawners do i have to make a reference to the on player spawned function for each one? and if i didn't it won't work for new players right?

Hi, I just sub to your channel, thanks for the help! Can I ask your help with something? Can you make a tutorial on how to make a starting neutral capture area, and when a team captures that capture area, the auto turrets surrounding that neutral base, joins the team that capture the area. I'm trying to make something like that, but for some reason, when I capture the area as blue team for example, the turrets can still target me for some reason.

hey man my code has only 1 error. vErr:S71: Expected expression, got end of line following "" (this is on the line of) Print("There are {Playercount} players in the game") any way to fix this as anything I do causes 9+ errors to appear

Does the teleport device Need a blueprint ?, we made an editable for the teleporter but you havent talked abt it on the begin where you said what we Need. Great Video btw 🙏🏼

Hey Graeme I've been watching your tutorials and it's been a big help on the Prop Hunt map I'm working on. I know it's been 2 months since you made this but I had a question about this script. I wanted to make a signal remote device that could serve as a "Prop Ping," but not like the one Fortnite provides. Essentially I'd like to find the nearest prop (or enemy player) when clicking the remote, and it would print or display their location- maybe even obfuscate it a bit so it's not as precise. When attempting to print positional data I'm met with a truncated callstack error, something to do with getting the transform. Maybe I'm just calling the wrong method for position. Know anything about this? Thanks for reading, hope you're well.

Believe the error was due to me not using Blueprint objects

if you weren't using blueprints, you do have to, or a device.

Hey! Your videos are extremely helpful! I somehow got a bug with my code: when i teleport and kill the player i teleported to and then try to teleport to another player ill teleport to a weird position, probably to the center of the map. I have no clue why because im new to verse, you got any tips?

@@saunchy2849 its basically because you don't have the reference to the CustomPlayer (that line of code is trying to reference a script named "CustomPlayer" but it can't find it, so it gives u an error saying i can't find it), so you need to make a new script called CustomerPlayer, if you go to 13:31 he shows what is in that class. Hope this helps
