Yep, corn prices aren't good if you're selling. But finally, for those of us who have cattle and a feedlot, it's a blessing. Cattle prices have never been better, and putting corn into the feedlot steers isn't a checkbook buster!

Chet, you have the best content on a farming youtube channel. As far as the front shank bushings literally being destroyed, there is really no way to prevent that especially in fields that have contours. The excessive wear stems from making turns while the implement is in the ground. Just something that is often overlooked and not really thought about while working ground. By far, bar none, you do an amazing job in maintaining your equipment and set an example.

Hey Chet hope all is well with the Larson Farm crew, and everybody is staying safe, remember always "Safety First". I'm curious about the application on the digger. If the plow point is secured and can't wiggle, what is the purpose of the spring, it appears to me that it is tighten with a lot of tension. Thanks for the aggravation you guys go through to bring us the updated antics of the "Larson Mafia" But seriously all the hard work to help keep Americans and the whole world fed is remarkable, a heartfelt "thanks"...

I’m glad you guys call your (field cultivators) diggers. I’m from the northern part of South Dakota and many years ago moved to the southern part of the state, and when I would talk about a digger, they looked at me like I was nuts. Took a little while before I realized that they call them field cultivators down in this area.

The reason one side of your digger might be cracked while the other isnt is because of the side you use on the outside of fields it does tend to be tougher on it, just an idea.

@LarsonFarms hypothetically as someone who’s never done this those arms are cast and a type of casting that turns to powder when you scratch or hammer it instead of deforming into a bur and those bushings are dom or forged tube so again hypothetically they spin in the hole causing the holes to abrade and remove some of the casting or the bushings start to wear and they hammer up and down into the casting wearing it out Now if you wanted to stop it hypothetically you could drill the holes out slightly larger in the casting then take an abrasion resistant steel tube like sls600 or ar500 and sleeve them (the parts would be a press fit into the casting) then take a different bushing material like oillite bronze and have those as the new bushing between the abrasion sleeve and bolt to take the abuse all hypothetically of course
