Great car, very solid. Had the pre facelift version and my parents had this one. The next gen (mk8) civic build quality and reliability was nowhere near as good, I've had both.

I bought one of these recently (manual, of course), and I really like the equipment 🙂 the facelift center console is useful, lots of little storage pockets. Definitely going on adjustable coilovers soon 😁

The V Tec engine is a peach but you have to use the revs properly to get the performance out of it ..

I have a manual one of these i got about year ago (Facelift) but it seems to be a low spec car as it doesn't have leather seats or a sat nav

The one I reviewed is the Executive spec, hence the leather and sat nav unit

Do you know what the difference is between the SE and the sport version? I'm trying to decide for my first car.
@sutsi2 жыл бұрын
The SE is bog standard middle of the range..sport has a few body and interior differences to make it look "sportier" but overall no better performance. SE is generally slightly lower insurance than the sport.
@TDF20042 жыл бұрын
@@sutsi Okay, I wanted to get a car that's fun to drive aswell as fairly fuel efficient and not too quick. What would you recommend?
@sutsi2 жыл бұрын
@@TDF2004 either is fine. It's essentially the same car, just the sport costs a bit more in insurance premiums, so your personal choice. Both similar fuel economy.

How reliable is the automatic version of this car over the manual? And does mileage matter that much?
@sutsi4 ай бұрын
The manual is more reliable.
@Toebex4 ай бұрын
@@sutsi if you were to chose between manual or auto, what would you reccomend? Im very new to this!
@sutsi4 ай бұрын
Manual is more durable...but the full automatic version of this is also good, just Cvt oil needs changing every 40k miles for longevity. So personal choice really whatever you prefer....albeit I like not having to deal with clutch etc when in traffic
@Toebex4 ай бұрын
@@sutsi Yes, I live in central london and my whole driving live is stop-start either in traffic or at lights so an auto is really preferable. Im happy to change oil and do basic upkeep, im just nervous about how optimistic I should be with the various ads for this car. Do you think 100k+ miles would be an issue?

Whats the automatic box like
@sutsi10 ай бұрын
They're pretty good, as long as it's the full automatic and not any semi auto version. Plus very important to change CVT gearbox oil every 40k miles or 4 years, to maintain the gearbox, failure to do so can cause premature failure
@jermaine___10 ай бұрын
@sutsi shit how do I know if its cvt😂 I know for sure its not the semi auto. All i know is it looks the same as the one in the video
@sutsi10 ай бұрын
@@jermaine___ this model ..2001-2005 has the CVT not semi (just make sure the gearbox looks like the one in the video), it's just in case you come across any imports .it's the 2006 space ship style one that had the i-shift. There's a yellow dipstick for the CVT gearbox on the right hand side. Check it's pink and right level. If no proof the gearbox oil change done recently, just play safe and get it done. It's about £125/130 at the main dealer or can be done DIY just like a normal oil change
