i apreciate your effort to speak proper english! , i own a white tiguan 2012 1.4 TSI 160hp (special version) R-line and i am very pleased with it . still looks brand new

I have a 2011 fwd 2.0t Tiguan, around 75,500 miles. Mechanically it's been flawless, until last Friday. It was taken on a 5 hour drive from Salt Lake City to Vegas, and an hour and a half in, we were going uphill in cruise control about 83 mph, and we felt the car suddenly lunge forward (no noises or obvious clunks, just as if I floored it suddenly) and immediately after it had no acceleration and my EPC light and engine light were on. Long story short, the High Pressure Fuel Pump had a malfunction and broke. Now the car accelerates as fast as a fully loaded semi truck and can't rev any higher than 3.5-4k rpm without bucking because the engine no longer has the power to keep up with the gear. With that being said, that car drove 7-8 hours between 70-100 mph in limp mode and it still is fully repairable with no additional damage because I was able to work with momentum not to overrev. Good cars! Just have some badly designed things. Also, the Front wheel drive is TERRIBLE in the rain. I do NOT suggest it in a weather filled area. It's crashed twice at slow speeds in situations dry land it would'nt have been close to happening. The ABS isn't always responsive, and TC thinks it's smarter than it is.
