Using a 5 button mouse in Autocad and Sketchup

Before multi touch input there was the 5 button (or more mouse) which allows you to avoid some of the chording that makes both Autocad and Sketchup work well. Of course this is no substitute for also learning how to write short lisp or ruby routines.

Autocad is available to all students by typing Students Autocad Community into a web browser and following the links. Sketchup is available from Google. The free version is plenty good and the pro version is $495 and even better (but still $495 is $495). If you take a class at a local community college...you become a student.

not working with me. so sad. this option "enable program-specific settings" doesn't appear to me. Do you have any idea??

indeed 5 buttons looks better... do you think wireless or with wire is better? i've read most wireless are heavy so not very good for drawing too many hours.. i'm thinking a 5 button with wire...how about that? i work many hours per day in acad
