I have wanted to share a video about this D-C-Fix stuff for ages! Such a genius invention and a very cheap way to upcycle things in your home. I find the vinyl wrap really easy to install and there are so many different colour options to choose from. Let me know if you have any questions about this and I’ll do my best to answer them and help; although I’m no expert!
Thank you so much for watching! If you enjoyed this please stick around, subscribe, and watch some of my other videos! :D

if got the right hinge I recommend taking them apart instead of unscrew as can make it harder to align them good again

@@MissMoogle that okay and often helps some have hinges connected or not when first hang them to make sure the hinges line up perfect but after if can unlink them in middle it helps on the screw holes and also means not have issue to align again

Hi, thanks for your video, you make it look so easy. I'm going to use this d-c-fix stuff to update my kitchen cupboards. Did you also use it for your worktops or was it a different brand you used? My worktops have a couple of burns and uneven surface in places, I imagine I would need to fill it or sand it down first. Do you know is the d-c-fix heat proof?
@MissMoogle
@MissMoogle 5 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for watching! Yeah I have done quite a bit with it so got the hang of how to do it best. Works for me :D I used the same brand for worktops too! I'm not sure about heat proof! But I never put hot pans down on it without putting a little rubber protector underneath.

Thanks so much for this video! I'm desperate to use this to upcycle some of the existing furniture when I move in to my new rental flat at uni, but I was wondering how easy it is to remove or if it damages the original material once the film is removed? I'm hoping as I'll only be there for 12 months it won't be too stubborn to take off, but if you have any advice that would be great! xx
@MissMoogle
@MissMoogle 5 жыл бұрын
Honestly such a good idea! I haven't found any residue when removing it so it should be fine. Use a hairdryer to help ease it off when removing :) So many different colours and designs you can use too! :)

Hey! I'm glad you commented... I'm still here making videos so still get notified about this older one. Honestly just dive in and give it a go. I find the stuff really easy to work with. If it's a big section don't peel the backing off all at once... just do it slowly. You can pull up and reposition if it's not quite right straight away. Any bubbles that remain you can use a pin and peirce the bubble to remove it!
@MissMoogle

I’m desperate to change my kitchen! All the videos show doing the doors/draws fairly easily enough but it’s the sides of the cupboards and the smaller bits, like baseboards that I’m afraid will go wrong. I know you showed a little of the edging in video, which is helpful. But I really wished someone showed the whole kitchen process. Did you find the baseboards trickier? Any advice on these areas that might help my confidence in going ahead? Lol thanks for the video though, you do make it look easy!
@MissMoogle
@MissMoogle 4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Ah, to be honest the doors are the harder part I would say, just because you have to take them off and take the handles off etc. The other parts are really easy. You just cut to size and then trim with the blade, or wrap into the cupboard slightly. Next time I do something I'll try and show more parts! Let me know if you try it! ☺️

Was it quite sticky residue left on the door when you took it off? Is it as hard as putting a screen protector on 😂😂😂! They look great though, what are you going to do with the floor? My doors have annoying indentation on! So I would have to board them up! The video is great!
@MissMoogle
@MissMoogle 5 жыл бұрын
Hey, not at all. No stickiness. And if I had used a hair dryer to soften it first it would have been easier! You can definetly still use it on ones with indents in. Just use the hair dryer as you do it. It’s worth giving it a go! Get some and try it on something! I’ll be putting wood effect vinyl down like the one I have in my spare office room. Thank you for watching! xx

@MissMoogle
@MissMoogle 3 жыл бұрын
Aw no. Try slowly applying it. Pulling off the backing paper as you go and if a bubble appears pull it back and restick slowly. Push the bubbles out as you go. If there is a couple left you can use a pin to pop the middle of it and then smooth the air out through the tiny hole. I hope that helps! 😊
