It is amazingly freeing to go in with the paint and not have to worry about any drawing first. It is almost like doing a paint-by-number! painting.a snap with this fun tool.
In this lesson, I will walk you through the Da Vinci Eye AR app - exploring how this can be used for our awesome art community-

to fix the up and down movement and left to right movement being reversed on your phone simply turn your anchor 90 degrees or 270 degrees

Here’s what’s confusing me: don’t you have to level your camera? I have a different setup because I bought the phone holder DaVinci sells that has the feet, and an adjustable arm. In the instructions I watched from DaVinci he said to level the camera. That’s impossible, it seems.

You want the camera to be parallel or the drawing surface as much as possible. I find I need to stand up to look at my phone screen and do my drawings. I’m releasing a video today where I’m using the phone holder that has the legs that Da Vinci Eye sells. It takes a bit if fiddling with the telescopic arm and since my phone isn’t very heavy I can turn it so the legs are pointing away from my drawing surface. Legs pointing left, drawing surface on the right, telescopic arm extended over the drawing surface with my phone as parallel to the drawing surface as I can make it. If it is not parallel to the drawing surface the perspective of the drawing can be skewed. You can do it!
