This is so nice. I really was impressed with the color matching through the small hole. I've seen it done before but this time it really showed how different your eye perceived the color vs the actual color.

Oh I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS on finishing another sketchbook!!!! I still have not tried or tested mine - I need to go to the art store and pickup more of my testing paints. Maybe this weekend. I keep flirting with ordering some AcrylaGouache to paint on the cover, or maybe some Golden Liquid acrylics. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours!

Fun to see these at work - I looked into them, but never ended up buying any. They say they are pigment-based, but apparently the pigments are SUPER finely ground because you can use them in an airbrush. You can even fill technical pens with them. Which would explain why they behave very differently. A review said they are good for doing poured pieces; another said she combines these with traditional watercolors. I wonder how they compare to the DeAtramentis Document Ink.

They are fun, and it would be neat to try them on the other ways you've mentioned. I haven't heard of that document ink.

@@MirandaWatsonArt Oh, it's just one more fun art supply to hoard LOL. It's a German brand of dip/fountain pen ink, and kind of hard to get in the US, but it's SUPPOSED to be lightfast or at least moreso. What's interesting is they have a CYM mixing set. Anyway I really think these are so similar one wouldn't need both and probably have similar lightfastness. I bet you could use a dip pen with these no problem!

I love how this came out! As for the bit on the sky… why not use an eraser to lightly lighten it? Or your rubber masking fluid remover maybe?
