He's helping me a lot to control my anxiety. That's why I get up earlier every day and take my time paying attention to the things I do before I go to work. Getting up, feeding my pets, taking a shower, getting dressed with the clothes I have already chosen to wear the night before. Enjoying my cup of coffee, and doing all this without thinking about work. Then, with plenty of time, I get in my truck and enjoy the driving to work. I really do not think about how I think my day is going to be when I'm at work. I don't care about it. I leave that until I'm already there and just taking things as they come. This eliminates my anxiety completely. I can see most people on the road driving faster, rushing and I see myself the way I was before. Taking for granted everything that the present moment is giving you.

I suffered from major depression and crippling anxiety. I couldn't do "1 day at a time." I controlled myself by thinking just get through the next 5 minutes (or any small amount of time). It helped. This is something that took a good 14 years from my quality of life. Being able to control anxiety is difficult, but it can be done. Don't be discouraged. Peace ☮️.

Retirement would become restless. It remind me a company, with unusual approach to their employees. The moment you are hired you have one day of week to be free to figure out what you will do when retirement come. It not a day off, it your retirement day that some point come and you have to know how you live it, need learn it now. What happened after this, everybody started enjoying their work, the production sky high. The training retirement time become irrelevant, something changed the flame of mind of everybody. @@charlieknoch5502 Thanks for your concern and advice. Somehow I have managed to cope. The day my wife left is the last day I took the Citilopram, my guessing was I couldn't feel any worse. Somone once said "The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide" Through the tears, sad and happy, through very mixed confused emotions I have tried to occupy myself. Today, over two months on, I can see light at the end of the tunnel, I no longer need or want the anti depressants and am being, being more concerned with right now, The only thing I have planned, besides work, is a climb up Mnt Snowdon on Aug 20th. That will help my body, spirit and mind more than any man made drug. Eckert is a true inspiration and at times I havejust listened to his voice, not his words. Sometimes he soothes, sometimes he educates! He's the Man!

This video has changed my life. Although I already knew a tiny bit about the value to being present, the truth, that The Now is the only reality, evaded me. The other comment I will make is that I read someone commenting that they resented paying to come to hear Eckhart speak, when he is a millionaire. I might remind anyone who is thinking anything similar, that the 'little gem' above is free, and for me, is worth at least a million Aussie dollars. Thank you Eckhart, I'm very grateful. They guy arrived early and I ran out there to help him. It was a horrible smell but I helped shovel the dirt off the tank and lift the lid. I had someone at my party make the fella a food plate and thanked him tremendously. I figured, it had to be pumped. It was quite a tragedy at first but turned out to be the humor that kept the party laughing 😅 I took a shower and went back at it.

It might sound limited because he only speaks about simple things and anxiety which are aspects of life but I assure you after having watched and listened to hundreds of speeches that this video is the most fundamental because if you listen with the *uttermost attention* you realize that he speaks about the everyday life of *all human beings* on Earth. Be it their family, social or professional life. 🙏

I'd like to share something. I know there is not one solution for all but perhaps it works for others as well. After decades of severe anxiety and doubt. Watching my life happen in a dark matrix of my own making. One day I just said a few words. One sentence, I don't know where it came from, nor do I need to know. Words I say everytime I start to think or feel in a negative way. Instantly I literally feel positivity flowing through me. I have to use the words less and less. It's simply. 'do not feed the monster'.

The little things ... the simple things that are out lives. I recently turned 25 and I've realised that I've spent so much time waiting for what's next. When it comes I'm underwhelmed or disappointed. But not long after the event occurred, whatever it is, I was already waiting for the next thing. Searching, searching, never satisfied. For the first time, since I was probably a child and had no expectations for what life ought to be, I can be still

From 9min. in this video on life and living in the moment of LIFE. My book had a sentence: use your brain, listen o your heart, and live with mission. Referring to that, The Dalai Lama gave me a foreword for that book (Results from the Heart), while also pointing that we need to connect to heart while we use our brain. That is precisely the point Tolle talk after 9 min into the video which is alignment of our existence/ life with LIFE. Since we get too occupied in what goes in our mind, such act of connection between brain and heart - or life and LIFE poses a challenge for most of us... At the end, it is execution for each to find a way...

Just a thought, social media may have something to do with not being happy with the present moment because we are always trying to keep up with the Jones' and comparing our lives with others. Every time we see a notification from a friend seeing what a great time their having makes you feel despondent and lke you are a bore. You have to turn this thinking inside out and say wait a minute I'm happy with what I have and I am thankful for what I have.

_"Every time we see a notification from a friend seeing what a great time their having makes you feel despondent & like you;re a bore."_ And then... when "followers" aren't as gaga with the "like" button, that friend feels invalidated (something's changed. "I'm not as 'in' as I was." Not rating as high as they used to. Now they need to do something really out there, like "hacking" macaroni & cheese.). Performance anxiety: you're only as big as your last hit. (I always think of the 1950 movie, _Sunset Boulevard_ about an old washed-up actress living in seclusion, waiting for the industry to call her back. Social Media is _that_ but on a more common scale.

As an ex flight instructor i always thought students how to land by not thinking of getting the plane on the ground..get the plane close to the ground first..then the second part is getting it to touch the ground. Breaking big things into smaller sections really helps focus

This particular idea always makes me smile. Years ago I had to give a talk in front of many, many people on a stage….fretted for days and nights. The day came-the moment arrived- the spotlight went on and I was struck dumb-literally. Could NOT say a word and hard to leave the stage on jelly legs ina cloud of humiliation… and could not actually speak the whole rest of the day! Soooooo - I have never repeated the invitation to ever do this again and it is my tiger in the room. No i amount of taking little steps had helped me. Hey Ho! I guess I wasn’t designed by the universe to be ‘good’ at or to ‘accept’ this chore. That’s OK. Others do it better and that’s Ok too. 🙏🏻
