Hi Marie 👋 question so I applied back in September for mail processing clerk then I get an email saying this is not a job offer, and to get my fingerprints done because I basically got accepted for peak season only. How much do usps pay the hour for peak season employees?

Yesterday was my first day in the plant after being done with orientation. I hope I get to become career in a year or two. But even if it takes 5 years I’ll still be trying to get to career.

USPS took my fingerprints 9 days ago and I was told the background check would take 5 to 7 weeks, crazy! I applied for MHA. We were told too there's a minimum chance for a career and they gave us only the third shift 4 pm to 4 am. And we don't have the chance for changing the schedule. So I'm a little disappointed, but I really want to work for USPS because it's good money.

Hello Marie! My pre-hire processing date is 11/5/21 and EOD is 11/6/21. I was also notified that I will be doing orientation for Mail Handler Assistant via Zoom. Do we still have to dress business casual and is orientation for 1 day or?

May tanong lang sana ako. May orientation ako as MHA ngayong October 12 & 13. Tapos mag start na ako ng work sa 14. Ngayon, ang concern ko may family vacation kami sa November 22 to 29. May plane ticket and reservation na sa hotel since April. Ano po na sa tingin niyo, papayag ba sila na mag leave ako o hindi?

I survived the first day of orientation. Mainly paperwork, tour, work schedule and id badge. Two more days of orientation left.

USPS screws their new employees. Make sure you get refunded for your training, you have to ask for the form to be refunded from the training center and they sometimes play dumb. They won't tell you about the refund, you have to chase them down for the form. Once your done with training and head over to your post office you picked, smile when you give your form that you filled out to the postmaster, she/he will be the one sucking teeth, in my case her teeth holding her imaginary whip. As soon as you arrive at your assigned post office. They wont be happy your so smart, but they will try to get away with not paying you. Keep bothering them when will you receive your check, if you want to get refunded. Refund checks vary a full stay at a hotel and mileage is around 3,000. You get a hotel if you live far away for everyday you stay for training. That's about 5 or 6 days. They pay you for breakfast, lunch and dinner and mileage driving from home or the hotel back and forth. Make sure you collect every penny. And their is more but for now collect.
