Thanks Nick for keeping us informed. I did have a fear of getting laid off due to lack of mail volume, but this video helps me feel confident that that wont happen.

Where I deliver people still Pay their bills through the mail. Veteran meds, political, yes...junk mail, irs letters, alot of people on my route Still have magazine subs, advou, certified mail, temu , Amazon, that's why I still call my self a mailman I'm not just a letter carrier ...

Does anyone else notice like half of the movies have a USPS mailman in the background somewhere or in a small scene

It's really hard to beat our flat boxes. We've always been cheaper than everyone else. That's why people keep using us.

1. Almost any business and government programs use the mail system that's never going to change. 2. Junk mail will forever be a thing, and we will always spam your mailboxes with ad mail. 3. We have a monopoly on first-class mail no other delivery service can touch first class mail. 4. Independent sellers on sites like Amazon use the PO for cheaper rates.

So, because this “commenter” does not use USPS to send nor ship correspondence it must be that nobody else does, too? That’s some really small thinking. 🤔 🙄

I have to work tonight, which is my Friday. I'm off tomorrow. I get one day off. We've been on 6th day for about 7 months now. 6th day 12 hrs a day. We all just want a little break from the OT.

Was employed with FedEx express for 8 years.started at 18$ finishing with 25$.with express threatning ,shutting down and merging with ground around the states ,if that was to happen where I am I’d be loosing benefits and pay which it has started in some locations .this opportunity came across me ,I’ve decided to take an rca position and start at the beginning of the month.i love to work 50-60 hours and make money.ill be taking a 5$ pay cut from where i was but i hope i have made the right decision 💪🏼

If letter carriers were overpaid there wouldn't be a staffing crisis in major cities and the turnover rate in the first twelve months wouldn't be so high

LoL.. really dumb question. Mail volume has actually increased since internet! I worked one of the largest volume Offices in CA, I’d hate to see it today 😳

Utility bills, VA stuff, DMV stuff, meds, house titles, car titles, certified letters, registered letters, stimulus checks, state tax refunds, federal tax refunds, W2, court orders, college diplomas, election ballots, etc. The list is longer. We deliver alot. Some cheese dik mfer tried to tell we deliver junk mail and are obsolete. I said wow coming from someone who works at a gas station.

The USPS has a monopoly on first-class mail, period. UPS, FedEx, etc..do not have the authority to deliver first class mail. The USPS is much more cost-effective versus the other fore mentioned vendors. Great video, thank you! Be safe!!

I love to hear the bitching about "how stamps keep going up" and how shitty the PO is. It is outdated in some things but I would love to see these ppl that whine about stamp prices, ship w fedex,ups, Amazon etc. They can't ship an envelop for under $8. It's also funny we still have to deliver fedex and ups on top of Amazon bc they can't handle the load. Easy to talk smack til the truth comes back harder..

Bruh, you're underpaid. Its kinda disgusting. Imagine risking your life for 70k a year. Meanwhile, people are making millions from home.
