@@MailmanNickI just became a PTF in Portland Oregon. I’d been watching your videos before starting to get a better understanding of the gig. My first few weeks I had 3 day weekends so I took my manager to the side and explained I am here “to get this money”. A lot of people don’t understand that if you were just doing 40 hour weeks the postal pay isn’t enough to get by. And it’s not because they pay overly bad but because if you’re paying into the union, insurance, and your thrift those deductions are high. Sacrifices today so we can rest later.

There's was no OT at my plant for awhile. It started back up with 6th day option. I told those new guy's just wait OT will be back. I had a grievance adjustment as well nick. Mine was for 4k or 4200, something like that. My check this week is a little over 6k. Like you, love the union.

I just got the call that I was hired today. Pretty stoked. Hoping I can get some overtime this year.
