Dave McMenamin said the Los Angeles Lakers might be interested in Utah Jazz guard Collin Sexton. Sexton has played incredibly for the Utah Jazz and could be a perfect fit on the Lakers. The question is, will the Lakers be willing to pay Danny Ainge what he expects for Sexton? It won't be cheap

Pure stupidity to trade Collin Sexton. The reason the Jazz was off to such a slow start is because Hardy did not start Sexton right off. Hardy has since admitted that he was negatively influenced by the false narrative on Sexton both last year and earlier this year. Sexton will continue to develop into a star if he is coached and used properly. He is humble, hard working, and very coachable. He was a former lottery pick at #8 in 2018. He is an efficient 20 points a game contributor. He is a bargain with his very affordable contract.

Lakers have nothing to offer the Jazz that's worth considering. And Danny will always be a Celtic, and you know what the Lakers mean to him: nothing.

The Jazz will not trade Sexton to the Lakers. Watch the video "You are Witnessing the Perfect Rebuild" by 6Man here on KZfaq and you'll understand why. Hardy has everyone playing their roles well. But Collin Sexton has taken it to another level. He's a keeper for the foreseeable future. It's wishful thinking for the Lakers to think they have anything to offer the Jazz that would net them Sexton.

Colin sexton is so much better than reeves. And the Lakers only have two 1st round picks that they can trade: 2029 and 2031

I would be shocked if the jazz trade anyone besides possibly Kelly olynk and maybe Jordan Clarkson. Even if they do trade Jordan, they’d ask a lot for him because he’s such a crucial piece of their team. He’s also a fan favorite so I would doubt they trade him either. But for sure they won’t trade sexton or markkanen. I think the jazz should stay right where they’re at with the team chemistry they have going on right now

I don’t see it. It’s time to say it. Look how Danny viewed Smart. Don’t tell me you don’t see the parallels. Different players for sure but different people??? Iakers are going to have one interesting package. Hard to imagine what that could be.

yea no way will they trade for sexton , he is good but the lakers need defense and shooting. Which for the future first will mean they will go for a bigger name like Dejounte Murray (who has been bad on D but had a reputation for defense before). At worst the Lakers panic trade and pick up lavine and caruso. But the pick packages become D'lo + Reaves (and/or Filler to reach Lavine $$$) , JHS and a 20XX 1st round pick
