I come from Jharkhand , need less to say this vegetable is widely available there almost round the year. But this vegetable is considered very light for digestion,so it has got a therapeutic value . Keeping this valuable fact in mind garam masala is never added , only jeera methi hing ka chhonk and lahsun Hari mirch ka paste alongwith haldi dhaniya powder for taste are the main ingredients . Always eaten very hot with nothing but rice . Even adarak is not used , still taste great.
