Just a quick flight at the club field with the WLToys v912 Brushless. This a single rotor, fixed pitch helicopter, around 200 size (maybe a little smaller). Basically an up-sized version of the very popular v911 micro copter. Had some trouble getting this one, as the first couple of orders that I placed for it did not get filled. Anyway, here it is. A decent little copter for a bit of outdoor flying, so long as there's not much wind (fixed pitch copters just can't really fight the wind).

with some modifications this heli can fly very well :) To anyone thinking about buying this heli, do not buy anything but the brushless version as the brushed versions burn out motors in 3 flights! The brushless version comes with a brushless main motor that will last a very long time but does come with a brushed tail motor which does not last long but can be upgraded to a much more powerfull and reliable brushless motor with a direct drive prop. The only original parts on mine are the main frame (large sections of metal chopped away to reduce weight) and the main shaft and rotor head. Everything else is aftermarket, all electronics have been replaced, aftermarket rx, esc's, brushless main motor and 1804 brushless tail motor and a proper heli gyro controlling the tail. The metal tail boom has been replaced with a carbon fiber tube and lengthened by 2cm, the tail support struts have also been replaced with carbon fiber. It's also flown on a 1500mah 2s instead of the 800mah 2s that they come with. My modified v912: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rrNdn8iSqtrHXaM.html

There is a button on that controller that is momentary contact and gives you more pitch as kind of a turbo. Common mod to wire across it or replace with a regular switch to give more pitch control. Added pitch to put nose down into wind will help with fighting (small amounts) of wind.

One of the coolest heli I ever own, taught me how to modify things to make them better. Started out teaching my self how to fly with a syma s107, wltoys v911 and this v1912. It worked because now I fly large collective pitch helis like the Trex 600 and Hirobo SDX. Never would have made it this far without patients and some help from these little guys. PS stay away from the v913 it is a dangerous and horrible helicopter.

I don't know why you'd say that about the v913. I've had a v913 for a long time, longer than the v912 actually. I've flown it many times, indoors (at the community centre) and outdoors, and I've never had any problems with it, other than the normal issue of trying to fight the wind with a fixed pitch heli. You can see my v913 flying in other videos on my channel.

Would you recommend a beginner putting training gear on this heli.

No, not really. It's pretty docile to fly. If you've never flown any heli before, I'd suggest starting with something smaller, as the tiny helis are quite tolerant of minor crashes - you can just drop them into the grass, and likely nothing will get broken. If you just drop the v912 likely something will break. I'd suggest starting with something like the v911 or the Eachine E119. Once you're comfortable with those, you should have no problems with the v912.

I do have a couple of Esky Belt CP helis myself. Those aren't the easiest things to fly (easier than the old Blade CP, though). And, as you say, parts are getting hard to find. I used to get stuff from Zonda Hobby, who are a major Esky stockist, but they don't seem to have the older stuff any more. RC711.com have listings for pretty much all the parts, but many are sold out or on backorder. Hobbypartz.com is another possible source. And you can always try eBay. Basically Google is your friend for tracking things like this down.

@@jakelang4387 Not quite sure what you mean... do you mean how the connections from the servos plug into the receiver? Also, I haven't had mine out for over a year now, what with COVID and things, so I'd have to dig it out of storage to check anything physically on the heli. I do have the manual handy. According to the manual, the channel numbers should actually be written on the label of the receiver. Ch1 is AIL, Ch2 Elev, Ch3 ESC, Ch4 Gyro, Ch5 Head lock, Ch6 Pitch. I believe what this means is that you plug the plug from the Gyro with 3 wires into Ch4 and the plug from the Gyro with 1 wire into Ch5; then, of course, you plug the rudder servo into the socket on the gyro, which is under the wires that come out.

I didn't change the motor in this. I just bought the brushless version that was sold. The replacement main motor that is listed is 4500kv.
