I'm here to share my case study template (content is gibberish!) that got me my current role! I hope this helps give you an idea about what hiring team is looking for in a case study projects.
Tl;dr: What to include in a UXR case study deck:
- Your background + introduction (put some professional + personal touches too!)
- Project background/context (quick!) & research goals
- Research approach +methods, and your rationale
- Research timeline
- Recruitment
- Expected/actual outcome + impact of the project
- Potential/actual challenges
*Most importantly, focus on your rationale at the presentation. You don't need to include everything in written, but your reasoning for decisions throughout the project will be what your hiring team is looking for.
**How to NOT look like a junior researcher? Choose a path between UXR vs. UXD. Don't be BOTH - that just makes you look "undecided". Drill down on a research question, rather than trying to be the designer + researcher + pm + everybody!
