I agree he’s amazing vocally and at many other things and he has a multi genre voice and I especially love when he sings sultry songs. But come on, this video is distracting and doesn’t let you focus only on his voice so you have to keep watching it over and over and then you appreciate his voice more.

Btw....can we talk about how Taehyung never fails to give us something fresh & different from what any of us thought about ?? The contrast between when he was single & when he had a partner was shown so beautifully 🤌 Also...the concept of how everyone was basically making out & being so disgustingly in love around him when he was single & when he had a partner , the same ppl are seen arguing and fighting around him....was such a brilliant thought 👏 And am still not so sure about the ending 🥹 Does it convey....LOVE YOURSELF OR SOMETHING ELSE ? I've read lots of theories on Twitter, but especially one that captured my attention: The first part of the video is events from the present, while the second part (tae with the girl) is what it used to be in the past, like the routine with this "friend" before he confesses his feelings and ends with their friendship. Both of these storylines end with Tae's death, but the detail is in his smile. When the car ran over him when he was alone, he looked depressed and then woke up. When the same happened but with the girl, he smiled and then again woke up, apparently the death part could mean the pain of being rejected by this friend but at least he was happy to be with her even if they were just friends. At the end of the story, Tae wakes up next to himself and smiles, this could represent that after everything that has happened, all he has is himself at the end of the day. (BTS really said LOVE YOURSELF) Btw, love your reactions

One reactor said that he thinks the death scene symbolises the end of friendship in either scenario of the MV. He is happier/smiling in the second death scene because the friendship died as they became lovers, unlike in the first case. In the first case, friendship died because his feelings have turned to love but they did not become lovers. The final part shows that in the end yourself is your own friend. And his smile is for the Army who he has kept guessing and thinking and theorizing about the plot and meaning or message of his MV. He just loves to give us something to think about. Love this!

The lyrics are speaking to wanting to advance friendship to becoming a romantic relationship. The MV is talking of basically being happy with yourself, regardless of any relationship status. I loved Tae's vocals, his acting, and the MV creativity. Tae's MVs are always so creative and thought provoking. I love it! 💜

As usual, Tae gets me thinking of so many different interpretations of his MV’s and music. ONE of the many interpretation I got, is that it’s a witty, but a sad sarcastic take an idol’s life( and maybe also for diverse relationships). They are lonely and they can’t have relationships only friends therefore everyone loves them but the pressure can cause ‘death’ and the second part is when they do have a relationship, then there is hate. And at the end of the day, they only have themselves to rely on until they stop being idols. I love that he is so experimental in chapter 2, trying so many different things and styles. His vocals are great, thought I do prefer it without autotune which big hit loves to use for artistic purposes. The vocals at the end were amazing, especially as he had a choir. I can see this being even more amazing live with the soul choir that backed him up.

For me, this mv shows how idols or celebrities are seen when they are in a relationship, where the supposed "fans" consider themselves the owners of their lives, where everyone around them can have relationships with whoever they want without being judged or criticized, however, when your idol or something similar does it, it is seen as something bad, in short... hypocrisy on the part of the crazy "fans" who take away an idol's freedom to be happy in the way they see fit... the end I believe which shows V making the decision that he will do what he thinks is best regardless of judgments... love yourself.

My opinion on V's MV is that it shows us that whether you are single or in a relationship, whether your "friend" says yes or no to be in a relationship you will die at the end anyway. What I saw in this MV 1. When V stepped on the bus. He is smoking. 2. When he was lonely, all the people around him are happy, etc. BUT when he was with the girl. The peope around him became chaos and mad to each other. 3. When someone doesn't have a love life, he think everyone who are in relationships are perfect and very loving. But afterhe get into the same situation he realized no one is perfect (see their fightings and imperfection side) and they have their own problems too which he didn't notice earlier. So love yourself first and the best answer until you find a friend which will never end.
