Genius! I have exactly the same type of motor. It's 2100 watts (this may vary). I have to look at this video if it starts to do the same thing.

Is it supposed to spark at all. Mine is sparking a lot. How did you remove the top cap.
@imajeenyus424 жыл бұрын
All brushed motors will spark to an extent. If it's sparking a lot, the brushes and/or commutator probably need cleaned. As for the top cap, it was just held on by friction - tapping the edge with a block of wood helped to release it.

I just took mine apart, cleaned out the dust as it was being used without filter bag. Should there be any spark at all? And it still has the burning smell.
@imajeenyus423 жыл бұрын
There will always be done sparking, it's just the nature of brushed motors. Perhaps dust has got embedded into the windings and is causing the smell.

That's a lot of useful and interesting information but I wish you had shown how to strip down the motor.
@aserta8 жыл бұрын
The stink might not be from the motor, rather from the bag. I'm not sure what you have on it but if the bag + dust sits around it develops a smell.
@imajeenyus428 жыл бұрын
It's a bagless cleaner (cyclone separator), and I'd already given all the various filters a good wash, to no avail ;-( The smell was definitely from the motor - when I originally ran it outside the hoover, it made one hell of a stink!

@imajeenyus427 жыл бұрын
Not sure, these things are usually pretty fast, something like 10000-20000rpm.

@@mohammadihw Well, if you never want to be able to take it apart again, sure. Why not just use some silicone sealant?
@mohammadihw4 жыл бұрын
@@imajeenyus42 I don't have silicone sealent yet because Due to coronavirus epidemic in my Country....whole country is gone under lockdown for 21 days. So i am unable to purchase. Thank you
