I love that old ballet technic teaching. Russian ballet is the greatest. None (only them) teach ballerinas that elegance, great technic, high jumps, presence. Dear Mrs. Kovaleva, You are a legend.

The humility and sincerity that shines from the greatest stars of the Mariinsky and Vaganova Institute has always brought tears to my eyes. They define nobility, a nobility of spirit and presence and soul. Madame Kovaleva, you have given us all so very much.

How wonderful to hear this icon of ballet talk about her career as a teacher -- and so humbly too. Ludmila Kovaleva, the teacher of so many of the most successful dancers. And in this video, an excerpt of her amazing, recently graduated class, including the incredibly talented Maria Khoreva, on her way to joining other top dancers from Ludmila Kovaleva's classes.
