The car is supposed to take like 23s or 24s but big wheels hurt preformance, so there will be a lot of these with huge wheel gap

Unless it gets lowered in a major way, dude f#cked up with his choice of wheels sizes. Visually it's not a vette anymore, so you can't put vette sized mods on this beast. The builders know this, that's why they offer what they offer.

There’s a picture of it lowered on their Facebook page. It looks a lot better. I’m definitely getting one of these kits now that I know I don’t have to put 39inch rims on it.

i'm a C5 corvette owner, and while i would never do anything like this to mine, and i'm definitely not a fan of the particular mod presented in this video, i will say there is no better choice of platform to build a "kit car" on than a corvette. the C5, C6, and C7 chassis' and drivetrains are cheap, parts are easily sourced and easily maintained. while i might not always like the end result, i'm never going to give someone grief for doing something crazy to a corvette all because it's a corvette. they aren't Faberge Eggs, the world hasn't lost anything priceless or irreplaceable by someone chopping up a Corvette. as an avid car enthusiast, i firmly believe someone should own what appeals to them, not what appeals to everyone else. if chopping up a corvette makes you happy, then go for it.

im going to have to agree with you.. i just picked up my 2008 z51 vette with 13,000 miles .... i cant imagine chopping it up or doing anything crazy to it. IT already looks out of this world

The choice of platform sourcing for the base is not really my cup of coffee but the design itself on either exterior is nice. Although I could understand why you would do this when you got a mangled exterior of one and might as well rebuild the bodywork on it anyway.

Forgot the C4, first mid-engine corvette. 51/49 weight distribution makes it perfect for a kit car. The C7 seem like a nightmare to do any work on. C6 to a degree.

Is there ANY functionality or gain/change on the perfomance of the vehicle for this kit? Imbasking for a friend🤓 Because from what im seeing with them tires and no front fender wells in front of the door you might as well keep it primered cause them tires are gonna throw rocks all over the doors and back half of that car.

The kit makes the car 30mph slower 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds, and missive understeer at high speeds because the car has to be lowered to fit the body which affects the balance of the car.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 To answer you question I would lower the car by lighting it on fire it will never fit the kit the car is ruined the kit is ugly as hell, it's not a good idea to lower a C6 vette if you plan to drive it on the street the customer went with a staggered offset and setup with smaller wheels 20 front and 22 rear, the SEMA Valarra had 24 and larger wheels to fill the gap larger wheels make the car slower and handle like crap with the extra rotational weight, there is a calculator to figure out what top speed and acceleration your car could get depending on wheel weight and size.

The coupe/roadster design itself I like a lot but the additional sharp angle parts like the front bumper, splitters, rear diffuser don't integrate well in harmony with the rest of the car body. While looking at this kit I have to wonder, what other car are the taillights borrowed from?

@@spelement6718 you need glasses man. the C6 has outside door handles and so does this, it relocates the handle to the top like the C3 corvette has, the tail lights work with maybe the exception of the right hand turn. and yes wheel gap is bad but that has to do with the owners decision to go with 21 and 22s those gaps need like 26s in the front and 28 in the rear or some were there abouts

Bro they’re listed as 26x16 and take 405’s size tires on the rears. Like, hows that even possible? I can’t find the tire or wheels like that anywhere online and I bet a full set would be 20,000$ dollars lol. You can clearly see the wheels that are on this in the rear are WAY too small and leave huge gaps in the wheel well.

I saw this kit on a car show video the other day on KZfaq. The proud new owner took the roof off his Vette kit car then realized there was nowhere on this $100,000 creation to put the roof so he open air drive, so he put it back on. I'm not sure this video helped your brand image. I never thought it looked cheap before, but now I just feel like I've seen the backside of a movie set. Take this down and reshoot in clean, well lit showroom. This gave me the shady, scam vibes. Feel free to delete this comment, but take my advice. The old, used cars in the background make for bad company too. You'd be better off with trees or even aircraft. Take it or leave it. That's my impression.
