Valens Lake Conservation Area, Hamilton

Very beautiful nature area with a big sandy beach, a long bridge across the lake, and a flat, easy hike with boardwalks, forests, and a lookout tower.
I enjoyed this conservation area very much, even though I went on a dull winter day. I like winter hiking, though, with its muted, faded light and bare trees.
There were many, many geese, swans and ducks on the water and flying around. I wish I had brought my camera with a telephoto lens.

What I love about winter hikes is that there are few people around and you mostly have the woods to yourself. I kinda like that.

Yes get outside in the winter it’s beautiful, and the best part is no bugs 😊 Invest in good winter clothing and I promise you will enjoy it. That’s a nice spot good video!

That was a great boardwalk through the marsh. Looked like a Men's Washroom to me. 😊. You do a great job with camera placements; I'm sure I've mentioned that before. Well done! 👌👍

We do have a lot of conservation areas, provincial parks and national parks. I have lots more to visit. I checked out your channel - stunning Ireland drone video!!
