Have to say I’m a bit obsessed with hawks, too. One time we were wintering in Florida and I would awaken in the morning to the blood curdling screams of a bunny when a hawk caught it. I guess that is nature, but wow that is an unsettling sound to awaken to.

If you want your cookies softer, put them in an airtight container with one or two slices of bread. It will take the moisture out of the bread and put it in the cookies and make them soft. 😊

A very nice and thoughtful Valentines Day gifts for each other. I only use White Lily Self-Rising Flour and I only use Buttermilk in mine. I also like mine tall. I live in East Tennessee and I also have been cooking since I was about 9-10 yo. I am now 74 yo. I love breakfast for supper. One of these days I am going to make Chocolate Gravy. Happy Valentines Day. Austin is a keeper for sure.
