Valentino Uomo born in Roma, Yellow Dream is a great fragrance to me, i was impressed with it the first time i smelled it. The bottle looks nice, and the name is fine so long as you are not literally 10 years old.

Thanks for the review. I respect the fact that you regularly change your mind, proudly admit it, and explain your thought process. Yellow Dream didn’t appeal to me at first, either: it struck me as a generic men’s scent. After spending some time with it, though, I came to appreciate it.

I think the entire Born in Roma line is amazing! Bought Coral Fantasy first - absolutely loved it, then BIR which is far better than Invictus in my humble opinion, and then Yellow Dream which I liked from the start but really grew to love after trying in the shop like 2-3 times. All three absolutely trump Uomo and Intense as far as my nose is concerned :-P

My wife and I were out hunting down the new Armani parfum about a month and a half ago and I got the last 125ml bottle..... Since we were at Ulta we were walking around smelling all the frags and she absolutely loved yellow dream. So, I ended up buying a bottle of that as well because she liked it on me. The pineapple off the top comes off super strong and sweet but once that dries down the scent is amazing. I get more compliments after the top notes dry down while wearing yellow dream. I've had people tell me it smells like Christmas once the pineapple calms down.

Can vouch for this, at least via a tester. I was told (and I agreed) that the opening was not nice for Yellow Dream, but after it dried down we both agreed it was a lovely scent. Keeping an eye out for it to go on sale!

@@ItDoesntMATTERwhatYourNameIS I get about 8 hrs out of it. I use 7 sprays. Two on each side of my neck behind my ears, one on the back of my head, and one on each side of my shoulder on the shirt I'm wearing that day to improve longevity.

I took this and Prada Oceans with me when I went on my holiday trip to Cancun. It was absolutely amazing. I got so many compliments, day and night time. Both were fantastic, but I will definitely own a couple of back up bottles of Yellow Dream. It's definitely special to me.

The Valentino Born In Roma Line is My Signature at the moment and most likely will be for awhile. I have so many Great Scents in My fragrance collection that I enjoy, but this line is IT for Me. I actually like all of the scents in the line. And, Born In Roma Uomo is the ONE that the Woman in My life and I Love the most. She Always says to Me, 'Ummm, You Smell GOOD!' and gives Me that 'Come Here' look when I wear it...

Love yellow dream, It’s super sweet and I usually don’t like that but it didn’t give me that gross headache inducing stickiness, it was more of a fresh sweetness compared to some other fragrances I’ve tried. It’s honestly one of the longer lasting fragrances on my skin, I have ADG profondo, Versace Eros, club de nuit intense, and some other “beast mode performers” and for some reason they don’t last super long on me, however this one definitely did and I was pleasantly surprised with it because I didn’t think I was actually gonna like it.

Tried on a sample spray of this today on my skin and after it dries down it smells EXACTLY like Viktor & Rolf Spice Bomb Night vision. I wear Night Vision on a regular basis so I noticed it immediately.

I do like this fragrance. Picked it up from Ulta after smelling it in store. I get good reactions from it the times I’ve worn it. I also like Coral Fantasy. Pretty solid line in my opinion, just wish they’d have picked better names ha.

This doesn’t smell like stronger with you. It smells like a niche fragrance except for one factor. It does not last very long however, it’s one of the best fragrances out while it does.

Personally I think the Valentino Born in Roma is going after the stronger with you crowd. To my nose I prefer Yellow Dream to the Armani line because there is something that comes across as to synthetic in that line. I like yellow dream when I'm in a playful mood. The only thing that turns me off a little, although I'm gettin to like it, is the gingerbread note.

So I was in Nordstroms around Christmas time and ended up buying Intoxicating By Killians and my sales friend gave me a gang of samples of this and I was like aight I’ll wear it at night when I go to bed and man I really like it and it grew on me. I was like this will be really good come spring and summer. I think ima go buy it. 👍🏾

If you’re just starting, for niche start with Mancera they have tons of quality fragrances that are really good at a way more affordable price. If you want to spend some more money Parfums de marly is awesome and covers every scent profile you need and you can get it on discounters for around 200 so still not too bad. Designers starting off I’d probably recommend coach for an affordable option and they have aquatic, green, blue, and cooler weather scents so they cover everything you need, or if you wanna spend some more money and get some better performance giorgi armani is good and so is Dior for sure.

Just a heads up, you don't have to say uomo, just means man, dona is woman. Basically the Valentino uomo, is Valentino mens classic.

Not a fan of the new Valentino cologne, Went to Macy’s to smell new Valentino cologne did not like it; so pick up the original Valentino cologne instead.
