Question if my starter on my devil go,s bad if I tap it a few times u think. I be Abel to start it like every other car

you didnt jump the right wires together, last test you were suppose to jump power from the top right hole(battery power), to the bottom left hole(starter S terminal wire). but from what i can see in the video you jumped the top right positive wire to the top left negative wire, which is not the wire that goes to the starter to engage. so jumping top right hole to bottom left hole, the vehicle should have cranked over.

Hey, so I have done thru all of your steps. I'm having power to the starter. I'm having power during the ignition , it's a new starter. I did the whole relay steps you should and I'm still getting a click with no crank. I'm wondering if you had any ideas what it could be. And thanks for the video.

I would check the battery terminals for a good connection. And the big terminal on the starter for a good connection. Also check voltage drop on the big power cable with a multi meter. Hooking one end to the battery positive and the other end to the starter solenoid positive. You should get less than 0.5 volts during cranking if you get more then you may need to replace the positive battery cable. Also not sure if the new starter is a reman but I'm my experience reman starters are hit and miss with quality. One van I worked on went through 3 reman starters in a one year period!

I’ve only got power at “30” not 85. What does this mean? What are should my next steps be ?

Check it with the ignition turned on. If it still isn't getting power then check fuse "IGN E" 10A in the fuse box. If that is good then check fuse "IGN B 40A in the fuse box. If that is good then it could be your ignition switch or park/neutral switch on the left side of the transmission.

i did not see what you did to start the vehicle. i might just need a jumpstart coz i haven't used my vehicle for a month i guess..

This vehicle started on it's own. I was running through the process of diagnosing it when it decided to just start. But ultimately it needed a starter motor. Checking the battery is a good place to begin. If you are able to start the vehicle with a jump then it was probably just a low battery. If you have any other questions feel free to post it 👍

@@b-dub6865 Yep. Do the same tests that I use the test light on. Imagine one end of the test light is the positive on the multimeter and the other end is the negative. Instead of a light you are looking for battery voltage.

@@ValleyMobileAutomotive⁠⁠⁠Thx! That’s what I thought. I’m still figuring out how to use this multimeter. This may be an ignorant question, so please be easy. Do I need those yellow adapter/connectors to test the relay connections? (Idk what they’re called.) Also, how do you test the S terminal on the starter? That part confused me since the vehicle started. Thank you again! You’re the best!!

@@b-dub6865 good questions. You don't need any adapters like I had. It just makes it easier to work with. As long as you can make contact with the terminal you should be good to go. With the S terminal you're looking for battery voltage when you try to start the vehicle. Put the positive on the S terminal and the negative on a solid part of the frame or starter case. With the relay in have someone turn the key to try to start the vehicle. (Be careful of moving parts) If you get battery voltage at the S terminal then the starter is bad. If you don't get battery voltage then make sure you have solid connections and try again to confirm.
