So true. Lestat's appeal even as rockstar seemed to be limited to a certain crowd, a certain age and moment in time but would never make quite the impact that he wished in his life. He wanted it as a vehicle for his vanity, his performance jones and as a way to live in the open but he still could never capture it. He faded into obscurity like a one-hit-wonder like most of the pop music and he could never plant himself firmly into human culture, especially disposable, ever changing pop culture.

Interesting...I always found Lestat's narrations an art.

A theme I thought would be interesting to explore would be the interaction between different age groups of vampires. The old, blue-blooded vampires compared to more modern, 'young' vampires would be interesting to read about.
