Lore wise a single sqaud of Volkihar vampires can take on the entire Dawnguard by themselves Vampires are much much more powerful then Humans in the lore .. Vampire lords and pure blooded ones are on a different strength level completely some of theme are Near Demi-God levels of strength .. Harkon for example was Killed only by the using of a Divine Class weapon "Auriel's Bow" One Vampire lord from The ESO Fought some Kind of a Godess and was in the same strength level to her The Dragonborn is Only main reason why the Dawnguard won the fight against the vampires
