When I was thinking about doing a DIY do it yourself van conversion project, I was wondering about a lot of ideas. So many choices to make... so many options... In this video, I’ll explain some of those choices that I made and if they were the good ones for me.
The most important thing to do about van conversion is to really think of all those options and make the best choices for you! There’s always pros and cons to any options. We are all different, so we will not end up with the same van conversion.
Among that questioning:
- bed orientation...?
- folding bed or not...?
- bed size...?
- do I need a table...?
- fridge positioning...?
- kitchen outside or inside...?
- kitchen size...?
- which side should be the door to access the camper part of the van...?
- is the impact of windows on heat is that bad...?
- is there heat solution about windows...?
- lots or minimum of windows...?
- do I need a sofa...?
- is the bed enough for sitting...?
- do I need a table...?
- do I have to lose space for a table...?
There’s no right or bad answers. There’s only specific answers for every specific person. That’s why a do it yourself (DIY) van conversion project is so great. You’ll end up with what you really want!
