I'm still thinking In A Simple Rhyme is my favorite cut from this disc. But this entire album is ridiculously good.

Yes, the Evolution of VH. 3rd album in, and they just were getting better. It's hard to live up to the first 2 but they delivered. And I know they were under pressure to deliver from the Warner. Well done. Love this LP.

Lotts CHUG in that one. One of VH's heavier songs. It only get heavier on side 2. Love this album. Favorite VH song is off this album and it's the next one Tora Tora and Loss Of Control.

My VH favorites: This album or "Fair Warning." Depends on the day. Song? That's tough...dunno. "Drop Dead Legs" is up there. Off of this album, probably "Everybody Wants Some." Two of my favorites are on side 2, "Loss of Control" and "Take Your Whiskey Home."

I want you to understand that a lot if not most of the Van Halen stuff was done in one take and done as if it was being played live. They weren’t splicing and dicing to build a song. These guys brought the playing ability to the table and did it a tremendous amount of their stuff done basically live.

Great video and reaction. This song is what they opened the show up with 3 tours in a row. Which is very cool. Got the crowd excited off the go. If you notice they would write songs that had a lull in the middle so Dave could do his talk in the middle. Genius way to write I think. Check out US festival 1983 and do the first 2 songs. They broke Guinness World record for most $ for a single performance headlining act for hard rock day. It was a 4 day show in San Bernardino Ca Steve Jobs funded from apple. It really shows the brilliance in song writing and another reason EVH was so dam good and ahead everyone else in business.

I would have to say, if there is any track from this album that sums up what it was like at a VH concert from this tour...this is the perfect choice! I was blessed to have survived this album and tour.We lived fast and had even faster cars back then...and we partied lights out! It's going to be interesting to see you do "Tora Tora/ Loss Of Control" 🔥

My favorite VH album is their debut followed closely by their 4th album- Fair Warning... which you should absolutely cover from beginning to end (including those songs you may have already reacted to). All 4 band members at the top of their game!!!
