I don’t know why so many KZfaqrs think we need “wild, exciting van life” content when I think most viewers just want to see what day-to-day van life is actually about,

Yup. To be honest I can see through the edited 'over positive' van life videos-- I follow lots of super realistic honest tubers and I feel closer to them.

My husband and I had a “plan” for van life when the kid’s left home well he passed a year before that happened then I lost my R leg 6 months after he passed and not able to get a prosthetic. ☹️ so I’m living thru you. My advice is DONT Plan things just DO IT. LOVE to ya Chrome and Cruz

Hey Chrome. We understand the “thinking this isn’t good enough” feeling. We had some footage that was really poor video quality, but the conversation was fun. We were soooo close to throwing it out....but had to put a quick video together when we had another that wouldn’t render correctly, so ended up quickly putting something out. We ended up getting more views on this video than others and many thumbs up. 👍 I guess we sometimes are too concerned about the quality of content vs quality of our personalities shining through! Have an awesome day! ❤️ Still looking forward to meeting you in the future on our travels! Stay weird!

I quite enjoyed this video and I'm glad you didn't chuck it. It was a happy low-key day and that perfectly suited my mood. Not every day is going to be a big adventure or filled with "chores". Some days are just for chilling beachside and hanging out eating expensive ice cream and people watching (or them watching you).

You may think your day hasn't been up to scratch or maybe even boring, but here's the thing, other folks, like me, are sitting out the last bit of winter, with half a meter of snow outside (northern Sweden), and i'm just a tiny bit jealous of the open water and blue skies you have there just now. I also realized whilst watching your video, that I have never actually seen an aircraft take off from open water before (in real life). So I just added that as something I must see when summer eventually kicks in here. So your content has given me a small target for the summer, thanks for that :)

@@glennbeadshaw727 l don't know. l lived in a 6 ft by 6 ft tractor trailer bunk for about 30 yrs. I think a van would be huge compared to that. And l had a fully working kitchen and entertainment area. Perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to judge people you dont know "baby"!

I too have lived the TT bunk life for 15 of my 25 yrs driving,... now local in a day cab. There are plenty of ideas in the Vanlife, Nomadic living and Full time RV communities, as well as a few others, of people doing something " new " and " different " later in life to be able to live a life they want to, but don't have enough detail to make the transition yet. YOU Can Do It !!!!.......and with your experience as a professional road warrior, I'm sure others in this community would find great value in your knowledge , insight , and perspective ......Start making plans if you haven't already ! You can do it!! :)

My days are pretty uneventful. I was falling asleep reading; switched to my iPad, this video popped up. Enough time for my cats to settle down on me. Back to listening to the rain and my book. Thanks for the reminder of what is in my back yard.

I really enjoy these types of videos. I always like the grocery shopping vlogs, hanging out lazy days and even errand days. Remember the voice over majestic scenery days are nice too but these typical days are my fave!

I love your water dispensers.. with a spigot right on there. I like that better than the power pump coming from the jug and a bowl. If I am in a van, id prefer not to waste my power even if it means one extra step.

In a van, a house, a cabin, a boat, life is what we make it. My self employed life now in my 60’s has been working on recalibrating how my time is structured. I have worked as much as possible for decades, now I want time off for a “regular” sort of “retired “stuff. Adventures come around once a while, they can be expensive, I have been learning to find adventure in the normal 24 hours, the kind of days that happen most frequently. Finding fascination in the ordinary makes everyday an adventure.
