A van clean meet up is a excellent idea!

It's sad that people don't know the basic "pack out what you brought" rule. Forestry sites after a long weekend can be so messed up. I went to Succour Lake near my cabin a few years ago and there were coolers full of food, chairs, tents and even a boat on a trailer! Such a mess and of course bait for bears who end up getting put down as they acclimate to humans and their garbage. I like the clean up idea, just too bad it's even something that is needed.

Back country mess has always been a problem especially at fairly easily accessible areas, I always take out a small bag of garbage to help keep it clean. Has been much worse last few years though.

Thought I'd stop the video and comment, "the west coast is the best coast". I live in Oregon between the ocean and Mt Hood next to Washington. I just want to say, the further north you go the better it gets. You could spend your whole life in BC exploring and it would never get boring. IMO. lol

It would be great if the teacher could make a video of some highlights of their project. I’m very interested to know how they cope with curves and non-uniform shapes they may have to work around in the other van. That always seems to be the tricky part of van builds. British Columbia looks fabulous. Interested to see some of the coastline if possible. Have a great time guys!!!

I truly believe in leaving a place cleaner than I found it. I spend the 1st and last 30 minutes at a campsite cleaning it up. I bought a trasharoo just to haul other people's garbage out of the backcountry. I hear ya!!!

I wonder if you will be able to give direct feedback to the students working on your ambulance. It would be great for them to get a feel for how a designer works with a client, coming up with a proposal, then a draft, then receiving feedback and incorporating the feedback back into the redesign. Just like in the real world. Teach them early to be responsive to the client and adaptable in their thinking. The best customer experience is with a designer who actually listens. Kudos to that teacher!

Great video as always Chrome. Wanted to share a saying I learned offroading. It goes like this. "Tread Lightly, bring out more then you bring in". I've seen some jeeps/overlanders with a Trasharoo bag that mounts to your spare tire. Check them out.

Slide latches or baby cabinet latches would save your cabinets from opening on the rough terrain

trash like a weight bench and mattress is always dumped by locals to cheap to pay to dispose of it properly .. happens all around Pennsylvania too and it's sad that a few trash the wilderness .

I've lived in most of the provinces and one time or another. There is no place in Canada better than the others. They are each just different and I appreciate that diversity. My favourite provinces are Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan. The latter of the two has next to nothing in the way of landscape that stands out with exception maybe of the Qu'appelle valley but both provinces have awesome people.

I bungee my cabinets when off roading ! Sometimes my magnets just don't cut it.

Take the screws out of the latch catch and put some tooth picks in there and screw the latch back in. Break of the extra piece of tooth pick and the latches will stay secure.

To cut down on dust in my van I added a cabin air filter and I keep the fan on low to positively pressurize the van. SURE HELPS to cut down on the dust coming in the back and sides.

That’s why there are people that build their homes far back in the woods away from civilization. Sometimes there are others that do the same and they pull their resources to celebrate a holiday. My brother lived in the Pocono Mountains he only had to share his space in the summer when tourists came to enjoy

I visit a few of the state parks here in North East Texas and have noticed the same thing...people leave their campsites just horrible...trash and junk left lying around and even on the walking paths and day use areas they just throw their trash down....makes me upset....I guess I was just raised a little different.....

(I wish I was there)...and I agree with you 100% in:re garbage and the people who leave it just because they can or they think its easier, garbage people do garbage things! I watch a channel called Destination Adventure put out by a very cool and talented fella named Dustin Porter and like your channel it really shows B.C. at it's very best. He has a tag line that he uses at the end of every video, and he lives by it..." take nothing but pictures, leave NOTHING but footprints" and it is a line everyone who enters the back country, uses the beaches and trails, and just in life in general. Being a Vancouver Island guy, I grew up exploring the outdoors, and even back in the mid to late 60's (ya, I'm old) you saw where folks left garbage and crap just laying around because they were too damn lazy to pick it up and pack it out, or as was a big mantra at the time "burn it, bash it, bury it!"...anyway that's my rant ...lol...thank you again for your channel, for you and Cruzie sharing your adventures, and for doing your part for van life, van lifers, and our amazing country. Enjoy the fall and winter back home in the god's country and have a blast working in the shop(or as I call it, the "Cruz on INN") and on the ambo.
