When i hear this song reminds me of my Daddy, before he passed away with cancer he wanted too make sure we played this song for his service😥. He told me when it's my time he'll be at the gate with open arm's waiting for me😭. I Miss Him So Much, he was the best Daddy ever😍

This was a huge hit in San Diego, and it actually topped the charts on San Diego's top-rated station (KCBQ) on Jan. 9, 1966. The song only made it to No. 70 on Billboard as the flip side of the No. 26 hit ("You've Been In Love Too Long") for the Detroit girl group headed by Martha Reeves.

The songs of this era were the real thing......so much feeling went into singing back then...slow dancing with the one...well at that time anyway..some last some didn't. But it was these kind of songs that made you want to fall in love and stay in love. Tender times.. always the best times living life and really enjoying with no major responsibilities. Hanging out with friends school parties going to the skating rink and movies. Just good wholesome fun. Experiencing life as a teen. New world....Those were the days..

The girl groups of "yesterday" certainly paved the way for the girl pop singers of today. Unfortunately, the girl singers of today have no "soul" but stand out as being "commercialists" with bad taste. who the f##$ influenced them??? Men, thats who. Twerk, pop your booty, shimmy and shake your boobs. Whatever happened to the musical aspect of music?

There will never be a musical episode, time period of when all Motown groups played, sang, presented their best selves. I saw it in person at the Uptown The Motown Motor City Review, that traveled the US, presenting every Motown group in concert at the Black venues like the the Uptown in Philadelphia
