Vanderbilt LifeFlight three on i40

3 Helicopters on i40, 179 east bound, pickup w camper top pulling a popup camper jack knifes and spills several people onto the roadway.

I know exactly where this is. At the bottom of a long steep hill. Warning signs for high winds at the top. It doesn't take much for a car to get out of control there. Life flight is a great team to have around

Vanderbilt Clinic employs the best of the best. They saved my life. I wish I could remember the flight! I was out cold. They brought me in the same place where you see that lady being brought in in Tim McGraw's video for The Highway Don't Care.

same! i was shot and flighted to vandy in 2014. was high as a kite when we landed but i can still barely remember it

There must have been some bad injuries if they life flight helicopters prayers for all involved

thank u to all who fly and staff air ambulance I stayed on the ground as a medic for 25 years....I can tell u these men and women work hard and often and there's always a chance something awful could happen

Vanderbilt Lifeflight is based in Tennessee.They have just aquired their 8th helo and each one of those 8 is based/stationed at 8 separate airports across 8 separate counties.The helos bring trauma patients to Vanderbilt University Medical Center which is one of the top 5 trauma/burn centers in the entire U.S.Just 2 minutes from the heart of Music City (downtown Nashville).This ride starts at $5000 & up depending on how bad the patient is and the distance away from Vanderbilt,so when those 3 birds were sitting there at idle,a bill of $15,000 had begun. Yes this is the same Vanderbilt University that's called The Harvard Of The South for its top of the line schooling in the medical field plus tons of other fields. If it's possible to save your life from a devastating vehicle accident,your chances of survival go up drastically if these guys come pick you up.
