I love the constant looks he throws at Suzanne. It's one thing to just to try and play crazy, it add so much more to show one self feeling it and looking for any support or strength

What makes it so good is that because he is so erratic, to the point of it being comical (which I'm sure is intentional), nobody at the table knows what might make him go nuclear. The fact that everyone at the table is on a constant knife edge makes it so uncomfortable. Yet... you can't get enough of it. VTM at some of it's best.

I love seeing how absolutely unhinged he is, and Bryan Dechart does an amazing job playing Vannevar.

Vannevar is terrifying. I think I know what's going on to make him insane, but even then, holy shit, can you imagine being in the presence of someone so old and so powerful, and this is how he acts? Bryan Dechart is doing the stereotypical "mad king" thing, sure, but the way he's going about it is just extremely scary. He reminds me of Tuco in "Breaking Bad," with this unpredictable element. He builds an incredible amount of tension in every Scene he is in. Definitely a masterstroke in character direction from one Jason Carl, and he had just the right actor to really make that come alive. Probably the best character performance in the show with the exception of Chad. Certainly the most evocative.

The thing that destroyed me the most isn't in this compilation, but there's an episode he talks to the ST in character, asking how many dice he needs to roll for something, and it's so fitting and absolutely terrifying to see a character breaking the fourth wall in a fit of madness because IT MAKES SENSE

It's even more hilarious when you consider that before this scene everyone assumed that he was a brilliant political mastermind whose every decision up to that point was a genius tactical maneuver.

I honestly laughed out loud at some of his performance. The rest of the time I was unnerved, saddened and somewhat simpatetic. Kudos, great actor right there. But from now on I'll express myself only through interpretative arm raising. And gold!

The stinger from one of the episodes after this shows Terese using Dementation on him in a private, one-on-one conversation. He starts the conversation sounding (and looking) slightly more stable. Then Terese starts her bullshit and well...yeah.
