"The Thule Grimoires" is going to be released the 5th of February as double vinyl record, digipack compact disc and via the known digital channels.
"The Thule Grimoires" are The Ruins Of Beverast's 6th spawn in full length and continue the sonorous wandering across anecumenical spheres that form up and embattle for the ever raging war against poisonous and verminous trespassers of human origin. The seven works evolve around discarnate, spiritful protagonists that join the brave and inexorable powers of nature against their foe. These sceneries are rooted within the familiar TROBesque experience, grim and low-bottomed monolithic tone, enriched with morbid melodic facets and surreal soundscapes.
The Ruins Of Beverast were formed in early 2003 and named after the most bloodcurdling occasion being part of the ancient Mid- and Northeuropean eschatology - the collapse of the giant bridge Bifröst. This incident bears analogy to the musical aura of The Ruins Of Beverast, which builds a sonic landscape of a downtuned ground and barren, massive, surreal mountain formations; this landscape’s atmosphere exhales psychotic, ancient and undead elements and is uncomfortably coloured. The Ruins Of Beverast narrate fables of the darkest secrets in human history and present.
Five full-lengths albums and several EP-, Split- and Compilation-releases were published through Van Records since then, the acclaimed “Exuvia” LP in 2017 as latest output. A new album is on its way and scheduled for a release in 2020.
As live-formation The Ruins Of Beverast is a strong force since Roadburn 2013, a festival this band already joined twice with special shows. Since then the band has played very succesful Europe- and US-tours and was present on many well-established club-shows and festivals like Hellfest, Inferno, Incubate, Party.San Open Air and Beyond The Gates, to just name a few.
Let not misled men explore it.

So no one is going to mention that he incorporated the melody from "God Sent No Sign" in Ropes Into Eden? It's one of my favorite things about this album. Amazing and unique. I love how every album is different from each other and how Alexander puts lots of attention to detail with every aspect of each album so that the quality is as high as it could be, and the more gothic influences of this album are another example of that. The Ruins Of Beverast took my breath away back in 2017 with Exuvia, and this album is just as amazing IMO

There are so many things to admire about The Ruins of Beverast and the mastermind behind it. My god the riffs, the atmosphere, lyrics, the arrangement. All of these make it a masterpiece but what really puts it on an absolute other level is the rhythm. In some parts it is so groovy and in other parts the off-beat rhythm leaves you on the edge and these other elements so well-done carries you away

@@jayhighlander5951 What an album Zoon is, and McCoys voice and interpretation is just perfect, how each track blends into another with angelic choirs etc., is mind blowing, a seminal album for me. And this album isn't bad either :-) the atmosphere is intense, love the vocals, but it is not perfect, and I would need to listen a few more times before I decide to buy it. I am more of a psych and prog head generally, but I give almost any genre a chance. A "fun" album if you don't know it, is Savage Sinosoid by IGORRR , maybe Advaitic Songs by OM. You chose the right word for this and Zoon, wicked, even evil fits well. Thanks for the reply, look after yourself.

@@dead2802 It seems that there are a few of us about, it is still one of my favourite albums ever, there is nothing to compare. This one is very good, it has a similar atmosphere to Zoon, but you can't beat McCoys vocal presence for sheer "evil" :-) I listen to all sorts of stuff from the 60"s to present day, usually a little bit weird or different, but anything goes if i enjoy it, and I don't mind what language it is in, the music is all. My all time favourite album is the first vinyl I ever bought as it changed my whole perspective, it is the first self-titled album by HAWKWIND back in the day, it blew my mind. There is still some great stuff around if you really look. Cheers and thanks for the reply.

I do like "weird" music like Krautrock, Zeuhl, Rio and extremes in other genres from the 60's to the present day. The first vinyl albums I ever bought [based solely on the album art] were Hawkwind's self titled first, and Mothermania by the Mothers of Invention. They started me off on a lifelong journey into the dark side:-) Until FOTN's albums The Nephilim and Zoon, I only liked the odd previous track. There is a band I have known about since the 70's, I bought 3 of their album fairly early on and I kind of liked them in a way. They are VERY different than any other band, they are French they perform a sort of progressive/jazz called Zeuhl, the language is not French but Kobaian an invented language, there can be as many as 15 musicians and vocalists on stage at any one time. The music sounds as though it is from another time or place, the band name is MAGMA, very intense and powerful at times. I have been watching a lot of their live shows and I am finally in tune with them and beginning to form the opinion that they are the best band ever ( yeh, I am ready to be shot down here), it has taken me 50 years on and off to reach this conclusion, is that a record I wonder:-)) so if you fancy a listen, here they are kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qd9goaeol86-lH0.html
