Vans RV 10 build update - Next-Gen Panel Design for Aircraft: Unveiling the Power of 3D Printing. In this video I walk you through how I have been leveraging my 3D Printer to do some near final designs and layout for my airplane panel, doing everything from panel layout, validating spacing & alignment, creating complex brackets for testing mounting options for my avionics, and using 3D prints to overlay changes on top of the aluminum panel as i make design changes. I have even created a 3D printed glovebox and a mount for my GTX 45AR and by GTR 20 that will be used in the back of the airplane.
I have been able to do all of this with a combination of my Bamboo Labs X1 carbon 3D printer and leveraging Fusion 360 to do all of the designs. And for the most part depending on the filament that you use it costs anywhere from pennies and up to print the models.
As a bonus I also show the panel I received from send cut send.
Enjoy,
George
