MIVEC, AVCS, i-VTEC, VVTi-L, TI-VTC, VANOS, and whatever else may be out there needs to be tuned. But how? What are the secrets to tuning VVT?

When logging a evo with a maf at 6000ft altitude, would it be normal to see 0 psi at about 70 load? Thanks!

I would have to go thru my logs and see if I have a Colorado car for that one. Some of that is relative to the tuner and how they set up tables up. Ambient pressure at Colorado Springs as an example is 80kpa instead of 101.

I am near castlerock which is 6200ft. So up here you are more than likely going to have a lower load range and you would make adjustments in the corresponding cells? Please let me know if you find any logs, really appreciate the help!

@@stewartrhaines 0" is still going to be 83-85, I think what you are talking about is floored will not be 0" but rather something like -3" of vacuum switch could be 70

@@AaronONeal1 My logs are showing 1psi at 82 to 85 load I can try and adjust my equation in evoscan. Thanks for all of your help!

So here in Colorado at 80kpa you would want to run your fuel and timing maps the same as someone at sea level at 101kpa? Almost every video about tuning I have seen they only talk about tuning at sea level. Might be a cool video talking about tuning at different altitudes. Thanks again!

On the subject of peak cylinder pressure and using cam advanced to control that, how much does that peak cylinder pressure play a role into knock?

Directly since it's also generally at low engine speed

@@tonyeigenseher6443 Increased cylinder pressure increases torque at low rpm. It can cause knock, but it can be managed.

Kseries are 25 and 50 degree cam gears not 45. That would be a modded one
