This advice is spot on used to be a sparkie myself you would be amazed how many faults show as parts when dirty wiring/connections are the issue Just sorted my 1.7di combo with this issue dirty pin on ecu plug! Runs a treat😀

Thanks very much for your advice, I have a 2011 Opel combo 1.3cdti with the Z13DTJ engine and I have the exact symptoms you described with the throttle, I replaced the pedal, but it doesn't seem to have worked, so am going to try the cleaning route. Cheers from Ireland

Great video, thanks for the information and tips. I cleaned all of the connectors and relays as suggested, it solved my poor throttle response problem and cleared the inspection light on the dash.

Also works on Vauxhall Agila! Unclip the plugs to the ECU (fastened to battery-side of engine. Clean plugs and sockets with solvent. Put them back. Reset the codes with a cheap code reader. Result: car is good, no P1122. Thanks.. ..

to help others - i had 1120 & 1122 on my astra h 2004 . after inspection it turns out the reason was blocked turbo with all possible stain from slow town driving - been cleared out , and so far its good as shoud . before was getting in limp mode once engine was wormed up . hopefully not happen again

Hard to believe that was the reason. Keep an eye on the error codes, they might return.

ecu been checked and looks dry. acceleration pedal been changed by previous owner and obviously it didn't help. if limp mode will back on again, I will look at connection between pedal and ecu so far over 100miles and no issues

This will work with error code p112-08 (no throttle signal to ecu) definitely try before messing with any ecu’s

112008: pedal sensor clean -UEC clean- cabel move or change- ECU connectors clean, renewal or change

the vehicle is equipped with fail safe mechanism it does not mean that particular sensor is bad for this code toyota has it where they state it is because of the coolant valve position sensor is bad the idle will go up and down then the fail safe mechanism kicks in and shuts down the throttle motor where the cable is only opening it a little to get yu to a shop also yu can mess up yu spark plugs then yu misfire

Hi .. I get the ESP light ON and the pedal only throttles when on gear .. when it is on neutral .. it does not throttles .. can it be the same issue ..

hi , i have same problem , i drive , and ESP light ON , my pedal Throttles disconect , i need to stop engine , start again and the problem sometimes disappear, for some days , and again have some problems , how do you rezolv ?

Hi, I know that you sold your Zafi, but just simple question. I did the cleaning procedure as presented, but now the car is going into limp mode. There is P0100 error (MAF sensor). Never had issues with it before. Reconnected and cleaned all connectors several times but all the same. Tried several times to clear the code, no luck. Do you maybe know the solution or experienced simmilar issue?

You damaged Ecu connector.

Yes, that was final outcome. After that I had ECU redone. Since then, everything has been perfect. Zafi is still rolling quite well.

Should we disconnect the battery during this time? What do you recommend to clean? wd 40 ?

Deffinately disconnect the battery. Never use a regular wd40, this is not a cleaner. Though wd40 also produces an electrical contact cleaner. In fact, use any spray el. contact cleaner

I just made a test with making a bypass on the cruise control connectors because I had problems with poor connection and sometimes i didn't have cruise control. So these are two cruise control connectors.
